...for my Chevy service except I don’t own a Chevy or get one serviced at Eriks Chevrolet and my name isn’t Julie. Thanks Julie for giving them the wrong email address. This the my best opportunity to be an anonymous asshole.

just put in that you want someone to contact you about being touched inappropriately while you were there for service, and that you’re very upset that no one did. demand a call immediately from a manager. also you’d like to correct the email on file.

I once received an email from a (presumably old) lady named Lois:

I have this address for you Joyce, is it correct? please respond when you get this.

I responded that this was not, in fact, the correct address for Joyce, but then Lois sent out a mass email to all of her friends about their “quilt-in day” that they were planning, and included me on the recipient list.

Door will be open at 9:00 AM

Here are the things someone has signed up to bring: If you think we need anything else please bring it.

Sherri and Myra are bringing irons

Norrine is bringing an ironing board

Judy and Myra are bringing extension cords

Judy is also bringing a cutting mat

I think we may need another ironing board and more extension cords. I have a small table top ironing board I will bring and a cutting mat

Thanks for your help

Then all of Lois’ friends started replying to all on it:

I will also be bringing my ironing board. Sherri

Hi all, I didn’t sign up at the meeting, but I can bring a power strip and extension cord and my mat if needed. See you all there. Can’t wait!

Sent from my iPad

I didn’t sign up for Quilt Day, but plan to attend. What else is needed besides my positive attitude and smile because I get to be with my quilting friends?

Peace,

Gwen Hanvy

Finally I couldn’t take it anymore so I tried to nicely ask tell these nice ladies to please not email me about their quilt-in day. To their credit, I didn’t get any more reply-alls after that.

Those ladies were nice.

I get these all the time on my AOL email (which is the sole reason I still have an AOL account). I’ve never actually entertained the idea of using them as an outlet for my assholeish tendencies... I’m liking this idea!

On the surveys I get , I’m supposed to be honest but on the few services at our Ford dealership how can I be expected to say they did shit service and still keep my job. A bad survey affects the CSI ranking and money the dealership gets from the manufacturer so I couldn’t possibly say what I think. We had a radio, cd changer with bluetooth and steering wheel controls back to our Ford store 3 times before everything functioned correctly. Its bullshit, so when I can I give them a crappy random anonymous survey. If I can’t be honest any other time without having my job threatened by management its my only method of retaliation. I work at a GM store but drive Audi and repair it myself, its just better that way.

In 8 years the Ford dealership has had our Edge 8 times for 5 issues and only one item wasn’t warranty/recall but was partially reimbursed/adjusted by Ford being a known issue. Still waiting after about 6 months for a Takata airbag to come off backorder.

I don’t do surveys for our actual local Subaru dealer because I like the service advisor and I know their pay and merit is judged on surveys. It’s not their fault that my car burns oil, and they are actually trying to help us out.

I got an e-mail about passport confirmation for a Portugeuse man once, as well as the fact that he tried to register his Apple account with my e-mail. Found him on Facebook, told him about his mess up, never heard from him.

Our work car, a 2015 Explorer has been in 3 times for warranty repairs and it is 2 years old and has 28,000 miles. It was delivered with a faulty drivers side air bag, had a leaking AC line and the rear hatch mech had to be replaced. All in all the AC was the bigest PIA had to take it in 3 times to get it repaired properly. So far Subaru>Ford.
